UNI_BAKUCHIOL is a natural active substance derived from the seeds of Psoralea corylifolia L. with a structure similar to vitamin A. 

It is an effective alternative to retinol and has better skin tolerance than retinol and can be referred to as 'Plant Retinol'. It is the new generation of retinol.

While achieving the same effects with other retinols, UNI_BAKUCHIOL is without irritancy and photosensitivity, much safer. 

UNI_BAKUCHIOL offers antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-pigmentation, anti-acne, and anti-microbial effects.

1. Antioxidant

Bakuchiol is more effective than Tocopherol natural in inhibiting Peroxyl, Hydroxyl, Superoxide, Peroxynitrile, Lipid peroxidation.

UNI_BAKUCHIOL exhibits an outstanding ability to eliminate DPPH & ABTS free radicals, and it is much superior to retinol.

2. Anti-aging

UNI_BAKUCHIOL can exert anti-aging effects by inhibiting Hyaluronidase & Elastase.

Bakuchiol has a significant inhibitory effect on MMP-1 and a markedly stronger inhibitory effect on MMP-12, far exceeding the effect of retinol.

Bakuchiol has excellent anti-aging effects by promoting collagen expression and superior to Retinol.

3. Anti-pigmentation

Clinical grading showed that 59% of the participants in the bakuchiol group had improvement in their hyperpigmentation.

4. Anti-acne

Bakuchiol is an effective ingredient for the treatment of acne. When combined with an exfoliating agent like salicylic acid, the effectiveness will be enhanced further.

Bakuchiol is effective in down-regulating the formation of 5-α-reductase.
