Bisabolol can currently be obtained through plant extraction, chemical synthesis, and biological fermentation. However, Bisabolol has four isomers, among which (-)-α-Bisabolol has the highest activity. Plant extraction and chemical synthesis methods can only obtain low content of (-)-α-Bisabolol, while our product UNIBIO_BISABOLOL produced through biological fermentation method can obtain (-)-α-Bisabolol with a content over 98%.

 (-)-α-Bisabolol can stimulate the proliferation of epidermal keratinocytes in the skin and repair the skin barrier. 5-Lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and cyclooxygenase (COX) are key players in the inflammatory response, responsible for producing leukotrienes and prostaglandins, which in turn lead to symptoms such as inflammation, redness, and pain. (-)-α-Bisabolol effectively inhibits these two enzymes, thereby exhibiting significant anti-inflammatory and soothing efficacy.

Antioxidant
